Posted in Group:

Hi im brittni
im 22 n have had a liver disease for ten yrs but was recently told i have chirrosis. my husband of two yrs and myself are wanting a family but the doctors advise me not to try to go through pregnancy because it my cause deterioration.. we are very family oriented and were so ready for a child of our own but now we face the issue of deciding how to go about adoption or serrogacy.. does anybody know if there is any type of help we can get for either of those options? he is in the navy and i just had to get a job to be able to pay for medical bills so paying for adoption would be very hard.. we are stuck between a rock and a hard place can you help??

Brittni, I am sorry that it is so hard for you two to start your family. If money is the only thing holding up adoption, see if surrogacy is a viable option. I would have thought the Navy would have had choices for you two!

Brittni, I didn't realize that the Navy was not fully supporting our troops and their family. I am sorry to hear that as well, it makes me mad! I don't really know what else to say to you. I realize you are in a tough place, and all I can offer is an ear, and my prayers.
