my platelets are so low that everytime that i havea period i bleed pouring for six weeks or more.... doctors dont want me on so much birth control because my liver cant handle it. thank you for reading my post :) and thanks for the well wishes for friday. i dont get on list for one year :(
because i used to drink so they have to have a year of proven sobriety before i even get on the list. it's so frustrating
Katie,
You need a liver transplant?
Or you will eventually need a liver transplant.

The last 10 days I was in the hospital with stomach bleeding. Hemoglobin at 5 and Platelets and 13000. I got 11 units of blood and 2 units of platelts and plasma. Then I got lazer surgery on my stomach to stomach bleeding to last a little longer. You can do this. Have the surgery. Get the platelets and hang on. Hang on tight.
I am so sorry Katie. I found out I have 3rd stage, not from drinking and I have been really depressed. Yours is much worse than mine. I will pray for you. Try and be strong for your kids. God will watch over them and keep you strong.

Wow.. i seriously thought that I was the Only one. I am also 29, also stage 4... Hepatitis c that i was diagnosed with at 20 when i became jaundiced and rather ill.. Just was doing a little research online and for the heck of it put in "cirrhosis 29" or something close to that and didn't think I would actually find anyone in the same boat as me. The only people that seem to be in the same stage of this as me are in the 50+ range. Right now I am typing this on my cell phone... So it's rather annoyingly slow and I would really like to elaborate more on my situation... But I wanted to post just Something here right away. I will come back from the computer soon!

All I can say is I am so sorry that you are suffering through so many major health issues at the same time. What is the connection between the cirrohosis and the issues leading to a hysterectomy, or are they completely unrelated?
I hope you do well in surgery and that your name comes up quickly on the transplant list.
You are in my thoughts-
