Cirrhosis

my mom was diagnoised about 3 years ago stage 2 cirrhosis of the liver. We found out yesterday that her liver levels have sky rocketed. She is diabetic takes insulin and she also almost was in kidney fauliure last year. Her kidneys are not filtering right and gets backed up easily. I have been reading and I do not know what stage it is now but the dr said it dont look good.. She will most likely be put on transplant list and me and my sisters are trying to see if we are matches.. It just is hard to watch her waste away.. This was all caused because the pain pills she has been on the last 11 years because a brain surgury and she has a cyst from top of spin to bottom and a few other things that cause her to be in alot of pain... Just hard to deal with..

I am so sorry that you have to watch your mother suffer like this and I am sure having to be a caretaker on top of it must be extremely stressful. I am glad you found the site and if you could use some extra support, feel free to message me!

Hi everyone my name is katie. in december of last year i was diagnosed with stage four liver cirrhosis and hep c. I just found out friday january 10th that i need a liver transplant. i'm completely devestated and don't know what to do. the 17th i have to get a hysterectomy because of all of my bleeding issues i have going on. i have two boys 21/2 and 5 1/2. if i didn't have them i don't think the news would have been so depressing. but i want to live for my children and i am determined to beat this. anyone have any advice or a similar story? what about home remedies that i can do to make myself feel better. i'm in a lot of back pain and have major cramps. on birth control every four hours to control the bleeding and i have to get two bags of plasma and a bag of platelets before i get my hysterectomy next week my platelets are 50,000.....
